John Osterberg
Financial Advisor
Upon graduating from Rutgers University with a degree in economics in 1993, John began his career as a Financial Advisor with Citicorp Investment Services in New York City, where he remained through 1999. He transitioned to Wells Fargo Advisors (formerly First Union/Wachovia) in 2000 in New Jersey before moving to Charlotte in 2006, where he continued with Wells Fargo through 2009. From 2009 through 2016 he was an advisor at Ameriprise before launching Charlotte Wealth Advisors in April 2016.
Everyone's economic and life situation is unique, and John keeps that in mind when providing financial advice. John believes that personalized service is essential when matching clients with the right financial advice and services.

John's primary area of focus and experience are wealth preservation strategies, retirement income planning, estate planning strategies, family finances, investment advice and financial planning. John has the designation of a Certified Retirement Counselor (CRC).
John is an avid golfer, and enjoys spending his spare time coaching his kids' sports, which include being the Cuthbertson Middle School golf team's coach, as well as coaching and being a Commissioner at Waxhaw Athletic Association. John has been married for 27 years and has 4 boys between the ages of 14 and 24 years old.
